Privacy Policy
Here's what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect you when you use MyCOCBase. Bottom line: we don't sell your data, we don't collect anything we don't need, and if you want your account deleted, we'll delete it.
By using the site, you agree to this policy.
What We Collect
When you create an account:
-
Username, email, and password
-
Optional: bio and profile picture
When you upload a base:
-
Image, description, and in-game link
-
When you uploaded it
When you comment:
-
Your comment, username, and timestamp
Automatically:
-
IP address, browser info, and which pages you visit
That's it. Nothing unnecessary.
Why We Collect It
-
To make your account work
-
To publish the bases you upload
-
To show your comments
-
To improve the site
-
To block spam and abuse
Nothing else. We don't sell it to anyone.
Cookies
We use a few cookies to keep the site working:
-
One that keeps you logged in
-
One that remembers your preferences (language, theme)
-
Analytics cookies to see which pages are popular
You can disable them in your browser if you want. Just know that some things might not work properly.
Who We Share With
Normally nobody. Only in these cases:
-
If a court order or legal requirement forces us
-
In case of serious fraud or abuse
-
With essential service providers like hosting (they're also bound by confidentiality)
We don't sell data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
Security
Your password is hashed — meaning nobody (including us) can read it in plain text. The site uses HTTPS encryption. We keep things updated.
But let's be honest: no system is 100% secure. We do our best, but we can't promise everything.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
-
See what data we have on you
-
Fix any wrong info
-
Delete your account and all your data
-
Object to how we process your data
Just message us through the Contact page and we'll sort it out.
Third-Party Links
You might find links to Discord, YouTube, or other sites. They have their own rules — we can't control that. Read their policies before you go.
Kids
The site isn't for anyone under 13. If a kid somehow signed up, let us know and we'll delete the account.
Changes
We might update this policy from time to time. If something important changes, we'll post an announcement on the site. Worth checking back once in a while.
